Over the weekend of August 26-27th, I planned a trip to the White Mountains in NH for my parent’s anniversary. Complete photo set is posted here: http://mark.seltzer.org/NH/index.html
We hiked up Crawford Path from The AMC Highlands Center.
We then hiked over Mt. Mt. Pierce, around Mt. Eisenhower, over Mt. Franklin, around Mt. Monroe and then stayed at the AMC Lakes of the Clouds Hut.
We had a brilliant clear sky at night with a waxing moon over Mt. Monroe while situated in the valley at Lake of the Clouds Hut.
We had a dinner that couldn’t be beat, woke up the next morning for a hearty breakfast at the Hut, and then an amazing view of the Lakes of the Clouds.
We then proceeded to summit Mt. Washington in 50 degree weather and sun!
